Twist has been conceived by our brilliant partner Paolo Villa Industrial Design, an award-winning design consultancy which has been developing successful products for more than 25 years. The concept behind this luminaire is simplicity, which can be considered as a beacon of contemporary beauty, and user experience is absolutely central. Using Twist you will be able to illuminate objects and architectural features in a clean-cut, refined way and enhance the key elements of an environment.
Twist: the product family
This product family offers flexible and extremely versatile lighting fixtures. It includes four different items in as many different sizes: Micro, Mini, Medium, and Maxi, ranging from 4.5 to 27 W. These minimalistic and adaptable products are composed of a super compact base which conceals all the electronic parts including the driver (which in the Medium and Maxi variants is also available in a dimmable version) and is linked to a moving head by means of a steel ball joint that allows the fixture to adopt endless positions.
Moreover, all the stainless steel screws being part of the fixture are totally non-visible, a hallmark of all the products developed for PUK by Paolo Villa (see also Horizon and Eclipse). Twist is available in three colour variants: Textured Grey, Anthracite Grey, and Matt Black (on request).
Technical features
The fixture’s head is provided with special optics with PUK’s Invisa Light anti-glare technology in order to provide maximum visual comfort, and it can offer a 18° or a 36° light beam. Twist has a phospho-chromatised and polyester powder coated die-cast copper-free aluminium body, a tempered safety glass, moulded silicone gaskets and o-rings, and it mounts non-visible stainless steel screws. The equipped built-in LED driver is provided with 2 CREE XP-G2 LED.
Twist can be mounted on any kind of surface: floors, walls, ceilings, and earth (using the special Spike ground stake).
Sizes
Twist comes in four different sizes in order to accommodate the needs and requirements of a wide range of projects. Apart from dimensions, that range from 70×123 mm to 171×129 mm, the four variants differ in the number of mounted CREE LEDs, which ranges from 2 to 16, offering different lumen outputs. From the 270 lm minimum output offered by Twist Micro to the 2.240 lm provided by Twist Maxi, this fixture can give you exactly the kind of light you were looking for to complete your project.
