Private Villa

Dubai Pearl Island, UAE, 2025

A private villa with a strong material and formal impact. Spread over three levels, it stands out for its architectural language made of rational volumes and geometries, and monolithic concrete-effect elements that give the structure an imposing presence.

The project is signed by Nisreen Kayyali Consulting Engineers and was built by Maqad Building Contracting. The lighting design, curated by Lustre Lighting, features PUK outdoor lighting products, specifically chosen to interact with the texture of the surfaces and enhance the architecture of the building, achieving the perfect balance between light and matter.

Concrete visually dominates the entire structure: this called for a lighting project capable of revealing its textures, proportions, and depth without overwhelming the scene. For this purpose, Hydro Floor Vetro Linear 10W and Line Vetro Slim 1000 were used , casting a grazing light that enhances the grain of the material surfaces and guides the eye along the architectural lines and create continuous light lines that trace the edges of the structure, elegantly and coherently underlining its geometry.

The Nano Downlight LED 10W, with their minimalist design and compact dimensions, integrate seamlessly into the ceilings, providing efficient lighting that aligns with the structure’s clean and minimal character.

In this private villa in Dubai, light is not merely a technical element but a true expressive tool that conveys the atmosphere and soul of the residence. Every fixture was chosen to enhance the materiality of the concrete, the strength of the architectural lines, and the monumentality of the spaces.

The result is a coherent stage where light sculpts and defines, supporting the architecture without overpowering it.
